Bugatti Veyron Super Sports  $2,400,000. 
This is by far the most expensive street legal production car available on the market today (the base Veyron costs $1,700,000). 
It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. 
It is also the fastest street legal car when tested again on July 10, 2010 with the 2010 Super Sport Version reaching a top speed of 267 mph. 
When competing against the Bugatti Veyron, you better be prepared!

Thrust SSC 


ThrustSSC, (or Thrust SSC, Thrust supersonic car), is a British jet-propelled car developed by Richard Noble, Glynne Bowsher, Ron Ayers and Jeremy Bliss.

ThrustSSC holds the World Land Speed Record, set on 15 October 1997, when it achieved a speed of 1,228 km/h (763 mph) and became the first car to officially break the sound barrier.

This Car cannot be driven on the streets and therefore known as  FASTEST STREET ILLEGAL CAR.

FASTEST STREET LEGAL CAR

The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engined grand touring car, designed and developed by the Volkswagen Group and manufactured in Molsheim, France by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.

The Super Sport version of the Veyron is the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph). 
The original version has a top speed of 408.47 km/h (253.81 mph).
 It was named Car of the Decade (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear. The standard Veyron won Top Gear's Best Car Driven All Year award in 2005.

The Veyron's chief designer was Hartmut Warkuss, and the exterior was designed by Jozef Kabaň of Volkswagen, with much of the engineering work being conducted under the guidance of engineering chief Wolfgang Schreiber. Though commissioned by Volkswagen, this car is only sold through the Bugatti manufacturers and cannot be found at any Volkswagen dealer.
